  New light, circular reasoning, and doctrine double standards.

  the wts claims they can make mistakes, fix them, and its all good because the bible says the light gets brighter.

  thats all fine and good but if thats true then why wouldnt new light appy to all other religions?

  how can the say that other religions are false because of what they teach?

  Judge Rutherford, True Believer or Con Man?

  did "judge" rutherford really believe the doctrines he wrote and spoke about?

  or was he a con man that bluffed his way through life?

  as he once remarked to an associate.. if he was a true believer, how could he justify the land and house beth sarim, both of which were specifically bought for and built for his use?.

  all of us have been tit-sucking jehovahs witnesses at one point in our lives, and we have been deceptively forced to give up our very own individuality to become one group united under, supposedly, god's only earthly organization.

  just maybe, maybe throughout your much hated dull life, as a brainless witness, you weren't allowed to experience the necessities of life, such as satan's blaring rock and roll that you oh so always wanted to listen to, dressing up in those flaming hot name brand clothes lines, being part of a sports team, knowing what true bonding friendship and competition really meant, or chosing those friends you know would never turn you in for having that nightly drink at the club.

  now that we know the real truth, and the damage has been done, what have you done to repair it?

  In so many lives there is unspoken tragedy. Yours is easily recognized, you were taken, withheld and robbed of a full relationship with your Mother. So many others are with JW parents who remain together and their lives are being stolen as well, only not so definably. Like all others I too am sickened by the actions of your Father. Is he still alive? I am new to your story and don't have that knowledge. Forgive me for prying but I figure you have it on line and somehow answering this question won't be a burden for you. Didn't understand the avatar till now. I don't believe in wallowing in the sorrows of yesterday but your story is more like the guy who loses an arm in childhood and is reminded every day of that loss. It's not wallowing, its coping.

  I just thought of this when you mentioned the importance of love in your world view. There are so many takes on "Love" its hard to see it in the terms you describe.

  I've always thought this song was a nice overview of the subject.
